Bensberg, Germany, January 13, 2005: Girindus AG - listed in the Prime Segment of the German Stock Exchange - focused on process development and manufacturing of drug actives for the worldwide pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry announced that it will host its first International Oligonucleotide Technical Symposium on March 9, 2005 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Girindus has assembled a distinguished group of leading industry and academic experts who will discuss recent advancements and future trends in oligonucleotide therapeutics. The symposium is coinciding with the inauguration of Girindus' new commercial scale oligonucleotide manufacturing facility. Following the conference the Cincinnati Chapter of the American Chemical Society will hold a dinner meeting.

The event is co-sponsored by the Genomics Research Institute and the Cincinnati Chapter of the American Chemical Society.
